Would it fit petite 2.5 year old?

Definitely. I think it runs big, and my girls wore it from 18m to almost 3. I folded the sleeves up the first year. They're both petite as well. My middle is almost 2.5, and it fits her with some room to grow. The only reason we are selling is because she got gifted a new coat.
