I love this, but my granddaughter would be wearing at 14-18 mos. She is average weight and a bit short in stature. Will this be too large?

@regena_jones it may hit more toward the knee than the hip. I had my daughter wear it since she was walking and we just rolled up the sleeves which reveals the red silky material so I actually liked it more that way! Hope this helps-
